Physiological Mechanisms of Acupuncture
This course provides an introduction to therapies practiced for thousands of years in China and
recently around the world. The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has its unique theory and interventions that are
based on the understanding of the world and human body with systems approaches. This introductory course is aimed
to bridge the gap between traditional Chinese medicine and modern science.
Prerequisites
basic medical knowledge.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the basic theories of TCM, including acupuncture
- Explore the mechanisms of TCM therapies from the perspective of modern science
